Sico Wins the AMETVS 2004 Innovative Grand PrizeWe are very pleased to announce that on November 18, 2004, SICO was awarded the AMETVS (Association of Manufacturers of Transport Equipment and Special Vehicles) Innovation Grand Prize.
For the fourth year running, this prize was awarded at the Excellence Gala attended
by more than 400 people (including international manufacturers such as Bombardier Transport, Paccar, Prévost Car and Komatsu) at the Mortagne Hotel in Boucherville, QC.
The prize is for an innovative product, methodology or process. SICO won this recognition thanks to the "wet-on-wet" epoxy-polyurethane process, a coating system that omits the drying process/timing usually necessary between spraying the primer and the top coat. This process can double productivity and offers a new flexibility for equipment manufacturers.
Congratulations to the Industrial Coatings Division for the concept, development and presentation of this innovative coating system.
